Recreational Rides & Touring
Create your own cycling adventure! Take your bike with you on full-day and multi-day trips to get from place to place.
A bicycle is ideal for full-day and multi-day tours in British Columbia. You can also use an e-bike to expand your touring range and shorten travel time.
Off-road bike routes and trails, like the Lochside Trail & Galloping Goose on southern Vancouver Island, are ideal for single-day tours.
Larger active transportation networks, such as the TransCanada Trail and the Kettle Valley Rail Trail in the southern interior, are ideal for multi-day tours.
You can cover up to 100 km in a full day of cycling (4-7 hours, not including rest stops) based on an average cruising speed of 15-25 km/hr.
You may also pack your bicycle in a bike bag or box and transport it by airplane. Depending on the carrier, e-bike batteries may not be allowed onboard.
