The BC Cycling Coalition (BCCC) is a member-based, charitable society composed of individuals and organizations in support of three basic principles:

  • The bicycle and other means of active transportation are legitimate vehicles,

  • Walking, cycling, and the use of micro-mobility and adaptive mobility devices are integral to B.C.'s transportation system, and

  • B.C.’s transportation system should be safe, equitable and accessible to all.

BCCC Members support our advocacy and programs by contributing to the voice for change—for better policies, updated laws, and more investments in AT—and providing some of the important core funding for this work.

Memberships Support Our Work

BCCC Members help amplify our voice, supporting our efforts to work with communities and governments across B.C. to provide public information and educational resources, tools, and encouragement programs supporting active transportation—such as:

  • The Active Transportation Summit, our conference for BCCC members and AT advocates, educators, practitioners and researchers;

  • BC Bike Valet Grants, funded by the Province of British Columbia and administered by the BCCC;

  • Bike Sense, our publication on cycling and active transportation safety, cycling skills, and the laws governing road users in B.C.;

  • The Bike Sense Podcast, featuring conversations with active transportation leaders from across the province; and

  • Active Tourism, our provincial advocacy work with partners to advance a vision for cycle tourism in B.C.
