Recent data shows that crashes that injure or kill cyclists have increased four times faster than population growth since 2021. For pedestrians, the casualty crash trends are even worse.
This spring, the provincial government will not award funding to B.C. communities as part of their annual Active Transportation (AT) Infrastructure Grant program. The program was paused last year as part of a review of CleanBC.
Active transportation advocates, educators, engineers, planners, policy-makers, researchers, and practitioners are invited to submit proposals to the 2026 AT Summit.
