2026 AT Summit coming to Victoria

Western Canada’s largest conference focused on active transportation is coming to B.C.’s provincial capital this fall

The 4th Active Transportation (AT) Summit has been confirmed for October 28, 29 and 30th, 2026 at the Victoria Conference Centre,

From the 2025 At Summit in Kimberley

Hosted by the BC Cycling Coalition, with support from local partner Capital Bike, as well as BEST Mobility and HUB Cycling, the AT Summit will once again convene people working across BC’s transportation and clean energy sectors — including advocates, elected officials, policymakers, key contributors, and influencers from across academia, industry, government, and the non-profit sector — for relationship-building, information exchange and collaborations.

“We're expecting people to come from all across the province to learn from one another and our guest speakers about the many proven solutions that enable communities to provide affordable, healthy, non-polluting transportation choices,” said Peter Ladner, Board chair of the BC Cycling Coalition. “Advocates have to work together to keep expanding the many benefits of active transportation in communities of all sizes. The Summit is a powerful way for them to do that.”

The three-day conference will include a variety of discussion and presentation formats aimed at decision-makers, educators, engineers, funders, planners, program developers, researchers, service providers, and supporters working on active transportation. Formats will include workshops, plenary presentations, discussion panels, interactive action and design labs, and off-site group events, all led by experienced AT practitioners currently building and implementing actionable solutions across BC.

More than 300 conference delegates are expected to come to Victoria for the Summit, to listen to 50 speakers address the role of active transportation in supporting affordability, economic growth, climate action and livability in urban, suburban, and rural communities across B.C.

“Some are communities are doing really well. Some have the right people at the table but don’t know how to begin. And some advocates will join us for the first time and meet some really smart people who can help them get AT going in their community. The Summit is the place for all that.”
