Call for Abstracts Now Open for 2026 AT Summit
Deadline for proposal submissions: Tuesday, March 31
Active transportation advocates, educators, engineers, planners, policy-makers, researchers, and practitioners are invited to submit proposals to the 2026 AT Summit through the public Call for Abstracts, now open:
Hosted by the BC Cycling Coalition, this year’s Active Transportation Summit will once again bring British Columbia’s active transportation community together for relationship-building, learning, and celebration, in support of moving active transportation forward.
This year’s AT Summit vision is Moving from Good to Great, with a focus on knowledge-sharing and peer support in three thematic areas:
AT in Community & Society
AT Policy & Strategy
Design Planning, Systems & Network Effects
Submissions can cover a wide variety of topics, as well as formats ranging from 45-minute presentations to half-day workshops.
Preference will be given to submissions focusing on outcomes for participants, such as examples of community best practices, case studies from local and regional initiatives, and ideas for advancing policy ideas, including those based on evidence and peer-reviewed studies.
We also welcome story-based presentations, and historical or comparable examples of AT successes and lessons learned in other geographic jurisdictions.
