Additional Recommendations for MVA Reform

In 2018, the BC Cycling Coalition (BCCC) and partner groups completed a review of the MVA, and submitted a list of proposed improvements reflecting the best practices of progressive jurisdictions to BC Government officials. While the BCCC continues to support all the recommendations from the original position paper, Modernizing the Motor Vehicle Act, we have recently submitted a list of additional recommendations that take into account emerging issues of equity awareness, evolving road use, new technology, and case study statistics.
